Yesterday was my capping thesis presentation. I have been spending all of my time with my team and could not be more grateful for them. Here are a few shots of one of my teammates, Landon, who I will be shooting more with soon.

Caroline Bright, Winter Rendez-vous
When I was back in the fine state of Vermont for a couple of days I had the pleasure of doing coffee and shopping with the lovely Caroline Bright, Miss Vermont 2010. Since our last shoot, which can be found here, she has been busy popping all over the state and generally acting as a fantastic role model while preparing to compete for Miss America. Her candid blog is also worth reading as she details her wild life! I am so proud to call this intelligent, driven young woman a friend and immensely enjoyed catching up with her. More photos to come, but here is a teaser.

Family Flannel Outtake
Here is an outtake from the shoot I did with my family for our Christmas card portrait. I am going to hold out on sharing the final product until Christmastime, but this was so funny I couldn't resist putting it up now. My poor dog Tucker is not amused by this, especially after I refused to share my pie with him.

Tête-à-Tête
Today I have the pleasure of lunching and shopping with the witty and photogenic Kaitlin Healy. Happy Vermont time for a few days.

That's Mr. Ford
Tom Ford has returned. He tantalized media junkies and fashionistas alike during fashion week when he held an intimate party to showcase his new womenswear collection, with no media allowed. With Terry Richardson as the only photographer present, Ford's muses, including Beyonce Knowles, Karlie Kloss, and Joan Smalls walked the line for a select few industry heavy hitters. The first photos shot by Steven Meisel have been released on Vogue.com and are fantastic. Follow the link above for the whole story, and peep the photos below. Delicious.

Steampunk
After a weekend of photography, I'd say I'm burned out, except this time I was modeling. The talented Jesse Hawk came up for a couple of days, and we did an outdoor shoot at the Vanderbilt, a studio shoot, and then he came and assisted at yesterday's Steampunk shoot. I had a blast shooting with the group at the Haunted shoot (which you can see in a variety of previous posts from last month), but this time I wanted to be in front of the camera. Here is a preliminary shot from Roberto Schiwon, my wild German photo companion. I had a great time rocking the hair and goggles and generally making a scene. We got some fabulous pictures and then ate German food, drank German beers, and relaxed to plan an upcoming event on December 11th that promises to be the party to be at. Secretive, yes, for now...

Underbelly or out in the open?
If you haven't heard about it already, there is a great project going on underneath New York City right now called The Underbelly Project. Featuring over one hundred of the world's most talented graffiti artists, the art is housed in an abandoned Subway station. Which means that no one sees it. And while I think that's a shame, because as you can see from the photos and video, the art is fantastic, there's a certain aspect of purity that the lack of exposure adds. The art exists for art's sake, and not for publicity or money.
But the same exists in Barcelona, where everyone can see it. It's on every wall, on every block, from the most prestigious neighborhoods to the sketchiest barrios. There is raw color, stenciled and etched onto the ancient skin of the city. Here are some of the pieces I liked when I was living and traveling in Spain. So who's right? Should art for art's sake be out in public or kept hidden?
