I've had the pleasure of spending the last few days in Charlottesville, VA at the Look3 Festival of the Photograph. This 4 day event is one disposable camera away from summer camp for photographers, with inspiring talks, the chance to meet people whose work you've long admired, and lazy afternoons at the river.
The picturesque small Southern town that hosts it is full of local culture, and that includes seemingly endless outdoor adventures. After a bit of research I set off with a few photographer friends for the legendary Blue Hole swimming hole. Some of the roads didn't have names, but with the windows down and cameras in our laps we made our way into the Virginian countryside. I shot a story with a few local teenagers, which you can check out below.
