Want to know what happens when you bring six pounds of glitter to a lesbian dance party for an off-the-wall portrait session? MADNESS!!
My assistant and I set up a studio just off the dance floor during the infamous glittHER party, and for three hours shot anyone and everyone who wanted a session. With a line of boozy women and insanely amazing dance music, we had a blast! Each session turned into a wild rapid-fire collaboration where we decked our subjects out with glitter before turning the camera on them. Scroll for the BANANAS results.
I believe photographers shouldn't ask their subjects to do anything they aren't willing to do, and that held true for this shoot. One subject challenged that I wasn't walking the walk glitter-wise, so I tipped my head back and poured silver glitter straight into my mouth. That photo is in here too. ;)
