I recently shot a story for today's Washington Post Express about a high heeled dance class taught by a man in size 14 6" platform stilettos and it was more F A B U L O U S than anything you have going on on a Saturday night.
With a background in hip hop and backup dancing for drag queens, JuWan Bizzell offers the class at Momentum Dance & Fitness studio to encourage women to bring out their inner Beyonce and learn to walk in heels safely.
After a heeled warm-up, attendees dismount to learn the choreography in sneakers before performing in heels, getting an intense all-body workout in the process. I can attest from personal experience; after photographing the heeled warm-up I participated in the flats portion of the class and left drenched. I'd never ask my subjects to do something I'm not willing to try!
