Emma McAlary

Emma and Milo

May 21, 2014

I'm taking a Nikon D800 for a spin this week, so when film photographer Emma McAlary agreed to meet for a lady photog lunch date yesterday I lured her back to my studio with the promise of meeting my adorable foster kitten, Milo. I trotted out a Mamiya RZ67 medium format camera and shot a few rolls, and then did these quick portraits with the D800. I liked the camera a lot more than my D600, which tends to be a bit sluggish focusing and suffers from notorious oil spots. I think I'll be jumping over permanently if this week of test shooting goes well!

Enjoy these natural light portraits in the meantime, and I'll share the film photos soon.
