I've been a long-time fan of Foundry since moving to DC two and a half years ago. For those of you who aren't familiar, Foundry is an AMAZING vintage and repurposed vintage furniture store run by the lovely Yvette Freeman. Last month I had the pleasure of photographing Yvette for the January issue of DC Modern Luxury, which is on newsstands now.

Yvette is opening a new branch of Foundry in the H Street Corridor of DC, upgrading to a historic 4,000 square foot carriage house that's utterly swoon-worthy. The new expansion will continue to house furniture and will also have Yvette's workshop and a vintage clothing section called Foundry Threads. ALL OF THE VINTAGE CHANEL...not to mention the vintage Versace she's wearing in some of these photos. I can't even.

We did this shoot at Yvette's brother's house in Kalorama (which was an awesome Spanish style home), and I used a mixture of natural and artificial light to keep things soft and feminine. Enjoy, and have a great day.
