This past Thursday, local menswear designer powerhouse Hugh & Crye threw a little (sold out) party for the launch of their new, lower-priced line of shirts. They were impeccable, as was the delightfully mixed-gender crowd. THERE ARE WELL-DRESSED MEN IN DC. It is possible, I swear! I was delighted, and loved shooting around.
Hugh & Crye founder Pranav Vora was completely charming and stylish in a Hugh & Crye shirt, square-cut tweed vest, and perfect pocket square.
Erin Derge, one half of local design duo Ginger Root Design, stopped by as well. I love her jewelry, which is made by one of the store's local artisan jewelers (her mom!). Her top, pants, and leather satchel were family heirlooms, complete with all the right stories and love behind them. That's so special, I love the details.
Of course, local bow tie connesseur Eliot Payne of Accoutre fame was present as well. We were twitterpated that his signature shoes went so well with those worn by Good Wood owner Anna.
This was my favorite female look of the night...high-waisted pants and a perfect print that were completely Katherine Hepburn chic.
With my super-menswear look (vintage vest, pinstripe pencil skirt, Accoutre bow tie in Liberty of London prints), I was challenged to be in a photo as well.
I LOVE THIS. Color overload. No words. Just amazing.
