Oh New York, how you continue to disappoint

I wait for the day when I live in a place where people care. Where they have poetry books on their shelves, the daily paper on their breakfast table, and the motivation to see things differently. That place is not here, where young people merely show off how little they feel. They wear a veil of apathy that reaches to the floor. I feel sad for them. I need patience.

Let me maintain this kind of attitude instead!
