Between traveling for the holidays and moving to a new house and studio immediately upon returning to DC, it's been madness here for a bit. Of course, not so much that I haven't had time for some personal photos - my little x100s has made sure of that! A few weeks in and I'm still loving it. Its compact size but gigantic sensor has made it my go-to camera of late, and it was a no-brainer to leave my DSLR at home while traveling to Vermont for Christmas.
Here are a few of my favorite personal photos I've taken recently, including portraits of my new housemates Michelle and Ruth, along with other friends. I'm loving working on these casual but very authentic kinds of photos right now - I'm definitely feeling a shift toward more documentary work for 2014.
In the next week I'll be making a list of my goals for this year, which will include my dream clients, personal projects, budgets, lists of things I want to do and learn, and a little bit of everything in between. I'm fast approaching the one year mark of being a full time photographer, and I want to continue taking risks, challenging myself, and working with others who inspire me on a daily basis. As part of this I'll probably do a 2013 year end round-up, so keep an eye out.
